Markets Expansion

Muslim HALAL food market currently serves about 2 billion people. The size of the global HALAL economy has reached 7 trillion USD by 2022 and is expected to increase to about 10 trillion USD by 2028. Notably, the Southeast Asia-South Asia-South Pacific region is a potential export market for HALAL products, with a Muslim population and consuming HALAL food about 860 million people. This is the largest HALAL food consumption area in the world with about 470 billion USD consuming value.

In addition, the demand for HALAL products has increased sharply not only because of the rapid growth of the Muslim population, but also reflects the trend of many non-Muslims consumers in major economies such as China, Japan, the United States, EU… increasingly favor HALAL products, due to meeting high standards on food safety and environment.

Although Vietnam has an advantage in exporting agricultural and aquatic products with a geographical position close to major HALAL product markets, the food import and export activities of Vietnamese enterprises with these HALAL markets are still at beginning stage. The potential for Vietnamese businesses including VietFarm in this market is huge. Therefore, the connecting of trade promotion with HALAL markets has always been focused by businesses.

With the experience of a manufacturing and exporting enterprise to many countries in the HALAL market, VietFarm is continuing to invest in production lines, equipments, safe raw materials plantation, and packaging, transporting, preserving… according to HALAL standards. In addition, in the period of 2023-2025, VietFarm continues to invest 100 billion VND to expand productions: establish a factory to produce aloe vera drink for export. In addition, the enterprise will invest in the production of cosmetic products and confectionery from aloe vera to diversify export products.
